ANNUAL REPORT 2021-2022

We are not in the business of expanding Japanese franchises to the world.

We are taking an excellent Japanese business and franchising it to the world.

In some cases, we are the first to franchise a business overseas that was not franchised in Japan. In other cases, we develop a business package tailored to the needs of the local market overseas and then franchise it. This is why we are a “Business Design Firm.

During the three years in Corona, we were not in the food business, but rather we were expanding our franchise to Africa, which had been a void in our activities, with a business model that would support small-scale agriculture and food security.

The projects that were in motion before Covid19 are certainly blossoming during Covid19.

Indonesia was one of the first countries where we franchised overseas, and we were able to open a new ramen restaurant “BARIMA”, a Chinese restaurant “TWELVE” for the upper middle class, and an Italian restaurant “CASA CUOMO” also for the upper middle class in Indonesia. These are all part of our efforts to expand our network of franchisees.

These are all part of our Business Design Firm business, in which local partners, our member stores, build and propose appropriate business models as they formulate business strategies that match each country and region, and set up the Japanese companies and Japanese know-how necessary to complete these business models. We also set up the Japanese companies and Japanese know-how necessary to complete the business model.

Ramen Takesan in Nagano Prefecture had only two stores in Japan.

The first franchisee was in Mongolia; the first store opened in 2018 to great response and grew to three times the annual sales of the main store in Japan, and the franchisee began preparing for the second store; the second store opened during a pandemic, but at the request of the franchisee, the first Mongolian ” JINGISUKAN” restaurant was also opened.

Ascentia Holdings’ African business started in 2017.

After surveying the region, we realized that a necessary business is to support small-scale agriculture, which also leads to food security, and together with appropriate business partners, we started TOKYO8 MICRO FRANCHISE, a franchise for local production & sales of microbial fertilizers

We would like to briefly report on our overseas expansion over the past two years.
